Cool retro design Walt Disney World business card from the 80's that I came across in the office.

This was well before we were known as Yellow Shoes. I have changed the Art Director's name to MM, but note how they weren't even called Art Directors but just artist. I like that. I love the gold foil embossing too! These are actually way cooler than or current corporate cards here. We may need to print our own one day, maybe we can use this design: http://bit.ly/rqP8JV

"Mickey's Joy Ride" poster I am doing for Festival this year

(download)
I will be hand pulling these limited edition, signed and numbered, screen printed posters this year for our Festival of the Masters 2011 event at Downtown Disney in November. http://bit.ly/9COnDo I will also have some art available at the show as well, like my angry mickey skateboards and a couple of other large mickey pieces. Hope you can come by, say hi and pick one up at the festival this year! If you haven't seen, here is a look at how the ones turned out last year that sold out: http://bit.ly/mhYdNP

Here is the new Star Tours radio spot we did also. #StarTours #StarWars

Pretty cool to get to work with Anthony Daniels, the original actor who plays threepio, on this radio spot. Writer John McCall knocks it out of the park once again. Enjoy the listen.

Our latest work: the Star Tours commercial is up #StarTours #StarWars

This was definitely a fun one to work on. That's Tom Kane as Ackbar. Really cool to be able to partner with Lucasfilm too. Big thanks to the creative concept team on this one John and Matt -the force is strong with these two. Enjoy you will.

Some pictures, I can share, from my Pixar tour.

What a great place! Everything I thought it would be and more inside. The creative vibe around the campus was awesome. I say campus because now they have several buildings now all set back in a nice piece of land in Emeryville, CA. The buildings are named after some of the five burroughs in NYC. John Lasseter's office is Upper West Side (but he also has a small office in the Brooklyn building too). Of course I had to visit the infamous cereal bar and have some Cap'n crunch to start the tour off right. Everyone seems like they are really having a good time in there. Hard not to when you have not only the free cereal and fountain drinks, but a gym, basketball, a sand volley ball court, and your own swimming pool. There was a lot of energy and creative meetings happening throughout and as I was leaving people were playing soccer in the field in front of the main building as well as another group doing yoga in the shadow of a giant Luxo lamp outside. Really cool to see the team environment they have created there and hope to go back again soon to learn more about how they do what they do.

Found on my mac: Retro Yellow Shoes logo/identity collateral I designed

I did this comp back in 2005. We didn't end up using it, but I wanted to explore a retro logo option for Yellow Shoes that looked like we had been around in the time of the old Mickey Mouse cartoons and the Hyperion Ave. studio. Love how all those old graphics and signs looked. For more on the retro Disney stuff and the Hyperion Ave studio check out 2719 Hyperion's site http://bit.ly/fk5Zvo  Enjoy!

Some research we "had" to do for an upcoming commercial we are doing for a new VIP tour at Disney's Animal Kingdom. My favorite part: face to face with hippos and crocs, and the food out in the savannah wasn't too shabby either! I even ate the Orchid (they said it was edible). Look for the finished spot to come out in about a month or so.
